The Comeback is Always Stronger Than the Setback

Monday Motivation

Sometimes when things are falling apart, they may actually be falling into place …

As hard as that is to believe right now, can you think of a time in your life when that was true?

Maybe you fell in love and then the relationship ended; maybe you had an amazing job and then got laid off; maybe you raised three wonderful children and now they’ve all flown the nest and you feel alone or scared.

No matter what the setback, you learn and grow from that experience. And you make a comeback.

You learn what you loved about that relationship and what you want more out of in your next one; you learn what skills you possess and how much you learned in your previous job that can propel you forward to reach for an even bigger, more advanced opportunity; or maybe you learn that an empty nest isn’t such a bad thing, and you can focus on the things you used to love to do but didn’t have time for with kids running around.

Even in the midst of a failure, there is something better that will come out of it. Even in the midst of this pandemic, we can believe there is something greater that will happen - or even IS happening.

Maybe you are reconnecting with your spouse. Maybe you are learning what your child is passionate about while having to homeschool them. Maybe you are picking up a new hobby that you never thought you would have time for.

Maybe this time that you have been given - yes, you have been given the gift of time - is your comeback. This is your chance to really dig deep inside yourself and figure out what you want after life goes back to “normal”. Perhaps you don’t want the normal you were settling for. So don’t settle!

Make the most of this time, (or setback if that’s what you want to call it), and make your COMEBACK even stronger! Make your voice be heard. Share your passion with the world. Be undeniably YOU!

Because you are far more capable than you give yourself credit for and you can achieve those dreams you’ve always believed would never come true. Make your comeback stronger than the setback.
